Haunting

Sing me a song when the daylight is gone,
Sing me the day anew.
Sing me the grass, and the trees, and the sun,
Sing me the wind and the dew.

Sing me the rye fields in full bloom,
Sing me a summer rain.
Sing me the sting of the ice in the air,
Sing me the scarlet leaf.

Sing me a song to hearten my heart,
Sing me my spirit, too.
Sing me my dead that would not depart,
Sing me a song for two.
