twelve – companionship

FootprintsInSnowin all times there have been people who fear god in a very particular way.

they walk with god as companions.

and often very little is known about them. i wonder why.

maybe because this companionship cannot be expressed in human words? or rather – because the human words narrow the companionship down to trivia, and in that case it is better left unsaid, unformulated.

when i think of these relationships, i think of footprints in snow – solid and ephemeral at the same time.

consider this:  And Enoch walked with God; and he [was] not, for God took him. (Gen 5:24 NKJV) – this does sound terrifyingly brief and deep.
