the autumn song for those who think ashes are a disaster

this song… so very much my autumn song. annually.

Do not approach me in autumn,/ i must be alone in fall//- Where the leaves lie like tiles on the roof, /and winds will do for the walls.

The gates of ashes, and the words that are keys/ i remember only in autumns// Do not approach me in the hour/ when i restore my fire.

Embers in the hearth chat quietly/trying to calm me down//Do not approach me in autumn,/ this is when i must be home.

When i worship the faintest sparkle/and despair over the ashes// unable to free myself/from the eyes that trap me.

The gates of ashes, and the words that are keys/ i remember only in autumns// Do not approach me in the hour/when i restore my fire.

Do not approach me in the autumn,/ i must be alone in fall.
